  Good morning, all appraiser committee members. I am Liao Lian and my supervisor is Gu Yulan. With her constant encouragement and guidance, I have finished my paper. Now, I would like to present my efforts to you and welcome any correction.

 The title of my paper is Cultivation of Middle School Students’ Autonomy in English Learning. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. Students" autonomy learning ability is the basic requirements of the latest education reform. That is to say, it is a revolutionary variation contrasting with traditional education method. Autonomy learning ability is not only the requirements of the quality education, but the needs of students" individual development. It is believed that the autonomy learning ability has become the basic skills of the young generations to survive in the fierce competitive society. I hope by studying this topic we can know the importance of the autonomy learning and help learners to get the better version and improve their English learning. Then, I will show you the main part of this paper, I divide it into four parts, The first part is the introduction of autonomy learning. The second part is the conception of the autonomy learning. It includes the definition, the characteristics and the importance of autonomy learning. The third part is the methods of cultivation autonomy learning. Though autonomy plays a vital part in English learning, yet there are many obstacles preventing students from learning well. And the writer shows us five methods in total on how to eliminate those obstacles and how to cultivate middle school students’ autonomy learning ability. They are cultivating students’ learning interest, organizing English extracurricular activities, applying easy and new teaching methods, developing students’ culture knowledge and releasing students’ pressure. The last part is the conclusion.
